What tight driveway delivery covers
Access is one of the most common reasons a delivery gets refused. Overhanging trees, a tight turn, a soft shoulder, a shared lane or a neighbour's parked car can rule out a large truck entirely.
Because we deliver small loads with smaller equipment, we can often reach places a full-size truck can't — and we'll tell you honestly if we can't.
We deliver with a truck towing a standard 14 ft by 7 ft trailer, so we need a driveway or laneway the rig can enter and turn around in, on ground firm enough to hold it. Flag tight turns, soft or wet approaches, low branches and gate widths when you request your quote.

- Photos of the access point help enormously when quoting.
- Soft ground, septic fields and cisterns limit where we can drive.
- Snowbanks and parked vehicles change access seasonally.
Frequently asked questions
- What counts as a small load?
- A small load is anything under 4 tons. In practice that covers most residential and small-jobsite orders: a few cubic yards of bulk material, or a manageable stack of eligible building materials. Because weight is the limit, dense materials such as wet gravel or sand reach 4 tons in fewer yards than light materials such as mulch.
- Do you remove junk or haul away debris?
- No. Small Load Co. is a delivery service, not a junk removal company. We bring materials to your property or jobsite.
- Do I have to be home for the delivery?
- You don't need to be home for the delivery. In most cases we just need clear instructions on where the material should go and safe access to that spot.
- How do I get a price?
- Send us the material, approximate quantity, pickup source if known, and the delivery address. Quotes usually come back within a couple of business days, and confirmed deliveries go onto the schedule as soon as possible.
