One cubic yard is smaller than most people picture and covers more ground than they expect.

Tipped in a driveway, one cubic yard of gravel makes a pile roughly the size of a small round patio table, a couple of feet high.

Is one yard worth delivering?
Yes — single-yard deliveries are a normal small load. There's no full-truckload minimum; the practical ceiling is 4 tons, not a floor.
